Tuscany is an extraordinary land rich not only of art but also landscape. It is especially beautiful is in the middle of April to late May when fresh, juicy green covers the hills, vines are covered with young leaves, red poppies overlay roadside ditches contrasting with the dark green rows of cypress trees, and fragrant roses are in full bloom climbing old walls soaking up rays of sunshine after being just bathed in a fleeting rain.
